Words Unspoken

Nothing is broken
But my memory of days gone by,
Sadness of words unspoken
I know you’re not really gone
Because your love lives on
In our hearts, like a song
We can’t get out of our head
Remnants of you are still here
But your beautiful soul
Is sitting up above
In the care of Jesus love
Waiting for us to join her,
Share those words never said.

This poem is tragically sad yet holds some beauty. It reminds me of a friend who talked about not wanting to get to the end of life and regret all the warm heart to heart talks she could have had with those she loved most…. not the big festive events… or the holidays that people sometimes dread going to… but the simple everyday moments… to share a smile, a gentle word, a wink from heaven from an angel’s eyes. Just simplicity itself of the enchanted moments of everyday life… Life is a **GIFT** open up the present of today and celebrate it while it is here!
