One day when you are older And the whole world is at your feet, you will wake up one day and realize all the odds that you have beat.
And all these foolish teenage years, won’t seem to matter then, your a much better person than that, don’t let them drag you in.
Cause God has a greater plan for you, that’s the reason why your here, He gave you life to live and breath, and loved ones to hold you dear.
He gave you a great big heart, that should be beating with joy inside, You have so much to offer someone, don’t run away and hide.
This is the time of your life, that determines the road you will take, everything you do is important, especially the choices you make.
Your whole Life lies before you, what do you choose to do. Let it pass by or make it great the choice is up to you…

The writer speakes as though she has lived beyond the years of her life, as though chronological age has no influence on the emotions conveyed.

I hate choice. i can live without it. Without choice I would have find my true love all ready
I loved this poem. It reminds me of a lot and I’m not that old. Making choices is a big part of life. This poem will always inspire me.
I’m so glad you wrote this poem. It reminded that the choices I make as a teen/tween or even as a young adult, will either make you or brake you later in life and also you want to live life to the fullest and make the right choices, because you never know when you will breathe you last breath.

This poem is a great reminder to me.. of thoughts that I often ponder myself… in knowing the choice is always up to me of what I will make out of this thing called life… this gift.. this moment to breathe in life or resist.

As I believe and tell myself often (and anyone who will listen for that matter - haha!) Life is a ***GIFT*** and to open the present that is today and celebrate it while its here!! Ah, now if I can only take my own advice! haha
