Sweet Butterfly

Sweet Butterfly, pretty Butterfly, oh my, oh my,
Oh your so beautiful to watch up in the blue sky–yes
away up in the blue sky;

Sweet Butterfly, pretty Butterfly, oh my, oh my,
Oh your so pretty to watch as you fly on by;
Sweet Butterfly, pretty Butterfly, oh my, oh my,
With your yellow wings embossed with black lines your
often seen upon our trees and vines;

Sweet Butterfly, pretty Butterfly, oh my, oh my,
Within our yard you needn’t fear, be scared, or even shy;
Just keep your charm and beauty and — fly. fly. fly.

Composed and entered into the Rhyme & Reason
Works of Kay I Kramer, March 3, 1969.
