Why?

Why bring more hurt to your pain?
Why stay lost staring off into the pouring rain?
Why lose yourself in a love song from the past?
Why suddenly realize things will not last?
Why hurt the ones you love?
Why watch your life float away like a lost dove?
Why love someone that wont love you too?
Why do some people do things they do?
Why let yourself be alone?
Why stay awake waiting for him to call your phone?
Why lose yourself in his eyes?
Why can't he hear your cries?
Why does your heart belong to him?
Why cant he see you are not them?
Why wear your heart on your sleeve?
Why does he always leave?
Why does all things in life become so confusing?
Why can't our heart heal from the bruising?
Lost in life, and just trying to get by?
But we still can't seem to figure out why.
