    In a world of confrontation
    Nobody wants a discriminated nation
Most of us wanna live as one
And play together under the sun
Soldiers in Iraq fighting for their lives
Men back here beating their wives
Is this the way our ancestors wanted it to be
When they were fighting for their liberty
We’re supposed to live in a world of delight
But because of 911 we’re living in fright
Why? We still don’t have an answer
Nor do we have a cure for cancer
    Kids, violence, gangs everywhere
The parents do not seem to care
    People get kidnapped every day
When they’re in the front yard trying to play
    In a world 75% crime
It wasn’t hard to find things that rhyme
    Hate live
    Hawks dove
    Vietnam war, using napalm
Why did we have to drop the a-bomb
The government has done many things wrong
I’m putting some of it in this song
The people of America are really trying
Through all the blood and all the crying
    Concerned countries
    Quiver quietly
I ask why this has to be
I wish the government could just see
    What American really felt
But we have to deal with the cards we are dealt
I’m gonna stop before I put you to sleep
I am digging a hole that’s way to deep
Just remember the government is wrong
That’s why I’m writing this poem
Living in a world of confrontation
    Nobody wants a discriminated nation
