Is this the way it's supposed to feel
Depressed, hurt, and terribly ill
It feels like we're back in school
Except now its harder to break the rules

It's full of lies, hypocrites, and deceit
This isn't the way it's supposed to be
We're all supposed to be okay and happy sometimes...

The quest for happiness is getting harder to endure
It feels like we're all just fighting a war.
A war that seems to never end
And no one wants to find where we begin

I'm tired of this, I want to begin the start
The start where we will never part
But instead be part of the new beginning
Starting with ourselves
