The stars in the sky
the leaves on a tree
the innocent child's smile
when they ask "May I please?"

A mother's warm embrace
A father's encouragement
God's amazing Grace
Sounding loud as an announcement

Could I have it all?
As big as it seems,
I can't help but be enthralled.
Can I have it? May I please?

The painted sunset
All the clouds in the sky
A child full of interest
Exploring the world wide.

A tear-streaked face
Looking upward in amazement
Trying to fill an empty vase
With wild flowers in beautiful arrangement

A cry to God to save a life
A happy child's laugh
A smile despite misery and strife
A mended heart after being broken in half

A sunshiny day with the one you love
A time spent with friends
A life undreamed of
Spent with those who are with you till the very end

The way God is
