Piercing My Heart

That blade placed upon my heart
The marks of bleeding trees
Stained my chest with a hollow sadly written remedy
The words inscribed upon my skin
Never washed away
No tears seeping through my skin
But your skies turned to gray
The rain falling to your face
In a never ending story
A blade running through our hearts
A moral to a story
Not speckle of expression draw upon our faces
Not even a thought of living within temptation
Wishing you had all but one silver dart
But only the glistening light of that blade piercing my heart.
