Waiting For You
The last day I saw you,
Was at the end of Autumn fall,
The air seemed colder,
The trees stood so tall,
You took my hand,
As i looked in your eyes,
Then you left quickly,
Without any good byes,
Months past,
With out any sign,
All hope was lost
Of the thought you were mine,
Then Spring and my mind was a clear,
The thought was gone,
You would ever come near,
But the first day of spring,
Came as a shock,
As i sat in my house,
There came a knock,
I opened the door,
And there you stood,
All dripping wet,
And covered in mud,
You looked exactly as you did,
Long ago,
You simply said,
I love you,
Can we let the past go.
