A Mother's Love

A mother's love is a heart filled with joy
just from giving her child a new toy
watching her child play
smiling at the things they say
praising the pictures they draw
and hanging them on the wall.

A mother's love to her child she will teach
with hugs when their arms to her reach
it can easily be traced
by the smiles on their face
magic in their hearts will flow
from it, mother and child will grow.

A mother's love can be shared with anger
but to patience it is no stranger
she will take it all in stride
put everything else aside
close her eyes and count to ten
for on her this glorious child does depend.
