Broken Hearts

The first time I saw that guy
I knew he was the guy for me
his eyes caught my attention
and his smile brought me to my knees

His lips were calling my name
right then I knew my aim
to let this boy be mine
for he was so damn fine
but then i got the shock of my life
I wanted to stab him with a knife

How dear he cheats on me
with a girl I call my friend
I don't know

Maybe he thought our friendship would end
but instead we slapped him in the face
came together as a team
and put him in his place

As I stood with my friends talking away
he came over to me
he had something important to say

He carried me aside
I'm sorry for the way I've behave
I turn my back and walked away
but he grabbed my hand and begged me to
stay

I did not want him to feel too bad
so I stayed and listened to him
outside I looked mad
but I was still in love with him
I knew he was truly sorry
but that's just the way it is
he needs me and I want him in my life
but how can we forget about the past
and live like husband and wife

I had my part to tell
