All Because of You

I tried so hard to make you mine
I tried so hard and was pushed away
And my heart was broken
for the very first time
all because of you.
So I stopped trying
but still secretly admired you and wished you were mine.
Our friendship grew as time went on
I was sure you'd forgotten that warm night in July when I kissed you
And now you say you want me too
you think I'm pretty, (though I know that that's not true)
you could sit and swing beside me all night long
And yet, I feel scared
and I feel unsure
All because of you.
I know I'll have to face you again
But what should I tell you?
I don't have a clue
What should I do?
I'm so confused all because of you
My head spins and suddenly I,
who is never quiet
has not a single thing to say.
All because of you
I'm helpless, the simplest task I cannot do.
All because of you.
The earth beneath my feet
is no longe! r there though I feel the grass between my toes.
I feel like a rocket zooming up towards space.
Towards the point of no return
All because of you
A million questions fill my head
A trillion thoughts run through my brain
I feel like I'm a computer that needs to be re-programmed.
All because of you
And as the sunsets
and the wind runs through my hair,
I realize just how great life really is
all because of you.
