Time flies by rapidly year after year
Our ‘Bucket List’ should be written well and quite clear
At first time passed so slowly and then flew by fast
Memories we shall cherish regarding the past
Some we will remember but some just don’t last
Our past is within our Hearts and our Souls
Some of us stay young at heart and we never grow old
The Spirit Within should be your Best Friend
It will be with you until the very end
Take a moment to reflect on your past years
With emotion and thoughts that may bring on tears
Our past will live on as our footprint in time
We will reflect on those memories in moment’s sublime
As certainly we all change from year to year
At times our memories are not too very clear
Everything was simple then it seemed
So simple just like 'Cookies and Cream'
Back then or so we thought ~
Regarding our future we needed but dream
So look at your life now and see what it's brought
Childhood was grand we now understand
Our parents were there then and close by our side
We looked up to them with trust, love and pride
Our town was safe too and we could play free
Love brought on warmth of our close family
Our hearts were filled with faith and trust
We would always obey since it was a must
It was a blissful time in my fantasy land
Fairy tales, snails and puppy dog tails
Childhood dreams and fantasies
Weave in and out my memory
Nothing will ever take that from me
I had a childhood filled with wonder & glee
