World & Me
Every time I shut my eyes and
try to forget the life as it is
blank, void, dazed and
stuck in a race that no one leads;
I and this universe,
Standing poles apart,
fighting for a mirage,
through ataxia, underneath a stormy cloud,
for happiness is only a state of mind;
so little time,
to walk on a tightrope
with the phantom making faces,
that sways with each step,
its a battle of survival, a battle of wits
and a battle to satiate the so called “me”;
so every night when I shut my eyes,
try to forget the life I am living
and drift off to a world,
which is a little more mine….
