walking away

I'm walking away with a heart as heavy as lead
And you'll understand after all I've said
I'll walk with the pain, and walk with the shame
After the first few months things just weren't the same
Started off brightly, but your light had a range
And just like a chameleon, all your colours changed
For days I walked with the tears and all that sorrow
Praying and hoping we'll have a better tomorrow
I walked with so much pain that I began to run
But somehow your damage just couldn't be undone
You offered more bitter, than you did sweet
And things were even worse in between
The perfect one in the view of the public
But behind these walls you made me sick
Behind these smiling eyes are so much hurt
But I'm through searching for your worth
Now I'm fill, actually I've overflowed
And I've convinced myself that I can take no more
I beg deliverance oh lord I pray
I want to run, I'm so weak, so I'll just walk away.
