Through the Barren Hills

She peers down at the grassy plains,
Wondering if anyone were to be there,
Would they save me?
Save me from these lonely barren hills?

She would sit there and wait…
Wait, wait and wait
But still, she sees only the sight of the drifting clouds.

Was she hated?
No

Was she ugly in the inside and out?
No

Why was everyone ignoring her?
She thought to herself,
How long have I been bearing this pain within myself for?
5 years…no, 12.
