This Love Is Ours
And being without you
is like being without air;
you being away brings back memories
from days gone by;
and when your close
my world is complete;
my heart swells when your near
almost to the point of it bursting;
everyone tells me that I'm not in love
that I dont know what love is;
love is not wanting to be separate from the other
like being out of sight is to far;
love is something that you only truly feel once
and you know when you do;
you can't get them out of your head
and you know they are always there;
they are like a scar
one that you can't get rid of;
young love is a precious power in the world
like laughter to the empty soul;
it's a healing process that when you age
you seem to forget that you was once the same way;
I love seeing older people together, holding hands
because I can't help but think, thats going to be me and you someday;
there is always someone that is going to disapprove
but you know that you could make it through anything;
this love is ours
and nobody can take that away;
