In The Darkness
In the darkness, I see nothing, but hear my heart beating outside my mind
As I look for answers that are within, digging deeper and in hopes to find
My insecurities are there, that lie on the edge of my sleeve for those to see
As I hold my heart out to heal from the scars, and set my soul free
I take each day and try to live to the fullest that anyone could
As I see the answers more clearly, crying within my heart as I just stood
In the darkness, you can see which road your going to take until you run into a road block
As a journey may take me through, as I stand there watch the hour hands of my life clock
Wanting to live and make my own mistakes along the way, my friends say No
They will let me be, but only to hurt myself until I am ready to set you free and let go
As I see the tighter I hold on to a dream that was just all in my head
As I look to a dear friend for guidance, as I see around me, with nothing to be said
Answers were answered to the questions that were stuck in my head for so long
Now I can relate to most of the people out there, and put it into a song
In the darkness, I stand there with my heart in my hand willing to give it away
As I stand in the darkness alone, with tear drops falling and with nothing left for me to say
In the darkness, I see things now so clearly, and yet my head is still in the clouds of sorrow
As each day passing, may I see the light, and fly again for it will be tomorrow
