The day came when the angels decided to take you away.
You felt it was your time so we all have to try to move on and be fine.
The thing is we miss you more than words can say and there’s just no other way.
We don’t remember how you died, we remember how you lived.
You were beautiful and free with a soul bigger than it could ever be.
We never thought it would come to an end this fast, but were so thankful we have the memories to last.
Once you got ill there was a gap created that we could not fill.
Your soul started to drift away and you felt you could not stay.
A storm created inside you that became so powerful you could not fight.
You knew through your struggle you would eventually see the light.
The only way you could find peace was just to be released.
Released from this pain and sorrow you felt even though we were all there to help.
The storm had gone on too long and all we have left to do is be strong.
We took advantage of your presence but we all learned a lesson.
You never know when life will end so take advantage while you can.
