Careful What You Wish For

So this is the day momma warned me about
That must have been you that stormed out of the house.

Leaving cloudy skies to cover surrounding lies
Momma just wanted me safe, and there's no doubt she tries.

She told me I had your eyes, and hair just as brown
With a similar smile, one that was never around.

It was your puppy love, that taught me the word bitch
And how to use it to my advantage when emotions start to switch.

I learned before I could walk, how to mistreat women
And I swear if I was old enough you would've regretted that decision.

But you weren't even driven, just a lazy quitter
Couldn't even be a father, let alone a babysitter.

I'll never remember what I asked for was
But it wasn't to live the life that a bastard does.

Everyone knew I'd become you, so they wished me well
Ever since the day you left, and momma wished you hell.
