Near

The tears of a little child
Drop onto the street
Right next to his dirty little feet
Earthquakes go on for miles
The world they shake
And hundreds of lives they take
Nation’s starvation for days
There’s just never enough money
For those countries that get a little too sunny
There’s also greed, pollution, and corruption
Not to mention mental destruction
With what the world gives
The ruling of Satan lives
But there’s not much to fear
The end of the world is near

Such an amazing poem. I love how she put emotion into all of it. It was almost like the setting was right in front of you as you were witnessing it.Alexah Parnin, you truly have a gift, this poem is amazing.
