Life is far, and widely too much taken,
Grant the power of whom we mindlessly have forsaken?
Dare we take the life of or complicate another
Wells of hardship, wrung through the hands of a `brother`!!!
Kin to annihilation, rampant wonders throughout creation,
Escaping, if it were possible, the founder’s of this nation!
Life, loves most precious gift
Should be respected, wheat to sift
Or be protected,
And I, this simple one would really like 2 know!

Message from the author: Poetry for many years has been a calming factor in my life. It is something that gives me both pleasure, and respect, because of the love I have found, and dignity, because it something I do well at, and others love also. What I must remember though, is that even if I WERE an audience of 1, that is really I need, selfrespect.

This is an interesting read. I’ve read over it many times but haven’t commented because I don’t quite understand it. Perhaps I’m too simple.
Good writing though!
