So your hurt, lonely, and scared,
I will be your friend,
let these words leak into your mind,
and pick yourself up,
you are great no matter what,
be yourself,
do things you want to do,
and don’t let life knock you down,
if it does hold your head high,
make the best of what you got,
don’t let people drag you down,
or hurt you,
it doesn’t matter what they think,
JUST BE YOU

Cheryl, your words are encouraging to me today… more than you could possibly realize… the hurt in my heart sometimes is almost more than I could bear… and yet, without pain I would not know the thrill of joy either! Two sides of the same coin… two sides and still one coin. It’s a matter of which side I choose…. today… I choose to turn the coin over in this moment and choose joy….
Thank you for the words you so eloquently penned! *smiles brightly*
Cheryl, I really like this poem. It’s simple but has a lot of meaning… but you have to read between the lines to get that meaning. I can really really relate to this poem. It kind of reminds me of my mom and another person who ended up was just using me… but anyways great poem. Also Don’t let people get you done. Heres a quote that might help you when it comes to rumors and stuff: The ones that care don’t matter, and the ones that don’t care that matter.
this touched my heart in more ways than one. I have a speech in class today and it is about my greatest accomplishments and this poem fits right in to what I have to say. My whole part of my speech is me sayin my greatist accomplishment is me being me nomatter what comes my way
