If I Were Your Angel

If I were your angel I would be
By your side day and night,
I would be your tall oak tree,
Shade from the sun so bright.

Your raincoat in the strongest storms
Protecting you from wind and rain,
Evil in the worst of forms,
Could never enter your domain.

Your armor in a world so cruel
No demons there could pass,
You are my precious jewel,
No harm I’d let surpass.

My angel wings I’d wrap
Protecting from all evil things,
Placed right upon my lap-
Surrounded by my angel wings.
