I went on another poetry forum the other day (actually I've been a member there longer than here but never got involved) and there is a lot of [daily] discussion going on there. Though they have a few more forum categories than we do, we have enough to have some discussions. We can't just post poems and run, post and run, post and run. . .

. . .however. I also noticed some pitfalls on that website. One user started a thread “I miss the old (website)”. She explained the reasons why. No one was talking about poetry much anymore. People fell out of the habit of commenting on and rating other people's poems; and there was a lot of swearing in the posts in the adult section, which bugged me too; and instead of poem rating, correction, suggestions, discussion, there where polls about everything under the sun, political and religious debating, and poor grammar.

So you see, armed with the wisdom of their developed shortcomings, we could be what a poetry site should be. We already have a formidable sized nucleus.

So before I answer the question i_miss_you just posted, I would like to be 2nd or 3rd to answer, maybe even 10th. This is the only forum I have ever belonged to where I am at the top for posts. So go ahead and knock me down a few notches—I don't mind.
