Community Forum

1) There should be a upload PDF function - See http://www.poemsonly.com/community/meet-community-members/my-introduction-and-a-word-about-pdf/?value=sf%25members%252%25user946&search=1&ret=all

2) There is no way to go back into a post and make changes.

3) There is no chat. Badger&Blade.com has a real smooth looking chat, check that out - we need something like that here so we can have some realtime community discussions for us eccentric, artsy-fartsey, poet type peoples.

4) We need to be able to easily click on a user name or avatar to view their stats. from anywhere on the site, from forums and from their poem entries so that if someone peaks my interest I can find their writings, poems, forum and blog entries without doing a separate, tedious search. Their own user profile does not link me to their poems.

5) I have yet to see a mod. here. I'm sure there must be mods. here—keeping the peace and offering support.

6) I'm not sure all site functions support Mac which is gaining popularity with more Mac users then ever before and counting. For instance, I don't see the smilies on my screen, just a bunch of question marks. Is this a Mac only issue?

7) I'm looking an my own profile page from the http://www.poemsonly.com/wp-admin/profile page and I can not find my own forum entries or blog or any statistics from there. There needs to be a quick link button to my “community profile” from my “admin. profile” so I can quickly get to my stats from there.

There should be a button next to the submit button (Save New Topic button) labeled something to the effect: “Pre-view Entry”, so one can see how it will look before posting.

So far I see a lot of potential in PoemsOnly.com. I like the fact that MY poems will not be lost in centuries of poetic works from the greats like Shakespeare and writings that automatically get top billing only because they are from published writers and cary political weight—shoving mine and the rest of the lil guys into obscurity. I think I may hang around.

I looked at the join dates of a slew of members  here and I see that all the members I looked at have join dates in 2009 leading me to the belief that this site is pretty new. That said, I am patient that these issues will be worked with in time, hopefully soon. I hope this site feedback is helpful. —Jules

Is there a Blog entry function. It would be nice to be able to link to my terms of use and personal comments as well as to my master list of all 13 plus poems. Blogs give members a larger, more personalized voice I feel. Thank You.

The view count goes up when I check in on my own threads. This gives a false count which implies that I have had several views other than myself. My own thread should probably only go up when other visitors view a thread and when the thread starter adds comments to their own thread, but ignore the count when one check in their own thread.

I hope my site suggestions are not getting annoying; I'm just trying to offer upgrade recommendations which will enhance the PoetryOnly.com experience, which no one seems to be doing—that I can see.

I agree here. Today is my first day, I've already put up four poems, and now I don't even know where they are. There's not much to the profile thing either as far as being able to see your own poems and what not. But I'll stick around for a while to see what changes. Oh, and there should be an angry poem category.
