Throughout my life (Though only 20) I have been interested in some form of writing. When I was a child, I was interested in stories. When I was a teenager, I was interested in screen-play writing and lyrics (Still am).  Though from a technical aspect, lyrics can be considered as a form of poetry, but I've never written lyrics that pertain to myself, or an emotional feeling. Yesterday I decided to write a poem that pertained to myself, and it seems to have come out well.

Now to the point, I've decided that I'm going to write a poem once a week for an entire year. That means there will be 52 poems at the end of this process. The purpose to this is a little uncertain, even to me. I just feel if I were to have a little project like this in my life, it's something I could help use to identify myself. Something that I can put my thoughts on. If you'd like to keep track of what I write, look up the fresh new poems under “Joseph Ellis”. I may chance it to “Joseph B. Ellis”.What do you think?

I think that would be great for you,,… But what if somthing comes out  of no where and you already wrote the poem of the week??? Will you write another one,,… Or write it then save it for the next week??? I write poems when ever somthing pops into my head,,… which depending on my mood can come alot of rarely ever.

I just had to reply to this when I seen that you said you used to write lyrics that didn't even pertain to yourself. I used to be the same way when I was a teenager. I listened to really dark and depressing music, but never had really any reason to be depressed or sad. Now, more so, I'm writing poems that actually relate to my life in some way, and it is a little easier.
