Hello, I'm Lilith, i've only just joined i've read a couple of peoms and i am very excited to get my poems posted!

But i'm not used to telling or showing people my proms the only person who has read only a couple of my poems is my current partner, anyway, getting to the point i'm worried about copy right…. anyone could just copy anyone's poems on here and post them or use them with out giving credit to the author or they could steal the poem and tell people that they made that poem…. is there anyway around this? Am i the only person who is worried about others taken credit or using your poem without permission?

I cannot deny that either, but doing that will never help the criminal because poems is about creative although your point is a fact.

Definitely a cool pix.


I did a lot of research into copyright before I started posting poems on the net. I registered my works with the US Copyright Office and if I catch anyone getting any money or credit for my works I'll sue their pants off. All the same your works ARE copyright protected now.


However, I remember reading a journalist/poet's comments. He said that he could at the time do a search and find his writings on numerous sites without his permission—often without his name attached. He showed examples. He had however given up on trying to fight it unless it was somehow damaging, defaming, or profiteering. You have to know how to pick your battles in the end.


I know that my works will end up in a number of places; I request however that people don't receive monetary support for MY poems, and that my name remain attached. Aside from that, if your stuff is being circulated that's more fame for you. Some music bands allow free taping of their shows and have become more famous because everybody wants to go to the show and bring a video recorder.


I post this with all my poems:


“(Note: If anyone clips these please at lest keep them in order and with my name attached. All my works are registered with the US copyright office; they are not and never will be Public Domain. Hope you enjoy them.)”


This is an unnecessary step, but I do it all the same because they could claim “Innocent Infringement” which clause means that they where unaware they where breaking a law. I would like to disarm them of this claim if I can.

hey guys i have a question im new on this site and i have posted a few poems on here but my questions is how do you see the comments thata people put on your poems i dont get it please answer back so i can see what people have said also if you want to read my stuff you can find them in sad poems and love poems my fav. is questions of love but its long also i like i remember so check it out thanks

Hey miss cece ^_^ … welcome to the site again .. and its really hard to browse around here .. I really do recommend Allpoetry.com … you have your own profile there where everyone can find your poems easily and when someone comments on them you will know directly … ^_^ .. its really good

hi everyone! i just joined this site and posted my fave poem entitled “Friendship's Goodbye”. i wrote it for a friend about 10 years ago but that friend has not read it until now.. hope you could spare time to read it. i placed it under friendship poem category but i think others might think it's a sad poem.. pls leave a comment if u may. thanx! :)
