Blind Love

Your kindness entices all you encounter
yet you fail to notice,
that you let everyone else steal your thunder,
this is your blunder

You’ve had a rough time of it lately
though it’s not over
you try to be brave
try to act almost saintly
yet you never complain

Trying to hide your pain, and tears
you would sell your soul to the devil, to help a friend
but when it’s all over and done
the devil doesn’t care
he just laughs at us, bathes in the black sun

Only god cares in the end
although you still have many crossroads up ahead,
you still have to make many choices
stand or fall down

You can’t always think with your heart
sometimes you have to follow your head
to find the beauty that’s in you,and
all around.
