Today I heard the bells ringing
Ringing loud and clear,
For God called your loved one home
And I know you miss her dear.
I feel the pain in your heart
Because you want near,
There is no cheer in your eyes
As I watch the tears appear.
I know that deep within your soul
You struggle with great fear,
But if you listen closely
I know the bells you’ll hear.
So let your heart fill with peace
For every time a bell rings,
Remember this my friend
An angel gets its wings.

It truly is a wonderful thing.. this frustratingly beautiful life… and love is eternal when you love a true friend and you are never far apart while you have them in your heart forever…. they never truly leave you… they just rest in peace… but you will see them again if that is the faith you have…
Well expressed!
i feel ur pain dude
Aww, I love your poem. It’s an excellent ring on such an old expression. I hope your poem brings peace of mind to many people suffering from the loss of a loved one. It’s definitely good enough to! Great Job!

I really liked this poem its sad but very nice
When I came across this poem there has been 10 family deaths in my family since October 2008 to current.
Your poem is very well done and has alot of meaning.
Awesome Job. Please Keep up the good work.
I love the wording of this peom, as it gives a great visual. I have had a 7 year old son traggically taken from me due to the disregard for life, of a drunk driver. Even though is hurts so much to have had a child taken from you, I focus on the blessing of having him for the time I did. Your poem showed a lot of compassion for your friend and is a great reminder that while the loved on is physcially gone, they are always with us.
that is beautiful because my grandmother passed away a year and a half ago,and yesterday me and my family celebrated her birthday, and that was not easy but now i will think of her every time i hear the ring because i know for a fact that she got her wings
